Deformed bars (rebar) have raised ribs along their length that grip the concrete, so the steel and concrete work together to carry loads. They are used in foundations, columns, beams, slabs and walls. Reinforcing mesh and construction mesh are welded grids that speed up slab and wall work and help control cracking.

Deformed bars reinforce concrete in foundations, columns, beams, slabs and walls. The ribs on the bar grip the concrete so both materials share the load.
Deformed bars are individual reinforcing rods that are tied in place. Reinforcing mesh is a ready-welded grid of steel that is quicker to lay for slabs, floors and some walls.
Bar size and spacing should come from your engineer, builder or approved plans. Send us your drawings or bill of quantities and we will quote the matching steel.
Delivery arrangements are confirmed according to your location and order. You can also arrange collection from our yard in Graniteside, Harare.
