Privacy notice
This notice explains how Azzar Fencing and Steel collects, uses, shares and protects personal information through this website, email, telephone and WhatsApp.
Who is responsible for your information
Azzar Fencing and Steel determines why and how personal information submitted through this website is used and is therefore the data controller for that processing. You can contact us at 114 Seke Road, Graniteside, Harare, Zimbabwe, by email at sales@azzar.co.zw, or by telephone on +263 775 752 280.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect your name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, location, requested product or service, project type, perimeter or project size, enquiry details, and the contents of communications you send us. If you arrive through a campaign, the site may also store campaign parameters, advertising click identifiers, first landing page and referrer information in your browser.
How and why we use it
We use enquiry information to prepare quotations, respond to requests, arrange assessments, supply or install products, maintain business records, prevent misuse and protect our systems. Information requested on a form is required where it is marked with an asterisk; if you do not provide it, we may be unable to respond or provide the requested service.
We send Azzar Club offers, product news and fencing advice only after an affirmative marketing choice. You can withdraw that choice at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us. Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect a quotation or service you requested.
Who receives information
Authorised Azzar sales and administrative staff may access information where needed for their work. We use Brevo to store website leads and send email. If you choose WhatsApp, your message and contact details are processed through WhatsApp/Meta. Our website host and technical service providers may process limited server, security and support data. We require service providers to protect information and use it only for authorised purposes.
Transfers outside Zimbabwe
Brevo, Meta/WhatsApp and some hosting or support providers may process technical or contact information outside Zimbabwe. This can include your IP address, device information, contact details and message content, depending on the service you use. Azzar must assess these transfers, maintain suitable provider terms and complete any notification or other step required by the Data Protection Authority before relying on them.
Browser storage and social content
The site uses local browser storage to remember when the Azzar Club invitation was shown, whether a signup succeeded, and campaign attribution information. It does not currently load advertising pixels or analytics tags. Website fonts are served from Azzar’s own domain. The Facebook timeline is not loaded unless you select “Show latest posts”; after that choice, Meta may receive technical information and set cookies under its own policies.
If analytics, advertising pixels or tag-management tools are introduced later, this notice and the site’s consent controls must be updated before those tools are enabled.
How long we keep information
We keep quote and enquiry records for up to 24 months after the last interaction, unless a longer period is reasonably required for a contract, legal recordkeeping or a dispute. Marketing contact information is kept until you unsubscribe or it is no longer needed, while a minimal suppression record may be retained to honour your opt-out. Campaign attribution stored in the browser is limited to 90 days. Records are then deleted or anonymised in line with Azzar’s retention procedure.
Your rights and choices
You may ask whether we process your information, request access to it, ask us to correct inaccurate information, object to direct marketing, withdraw consent, or request deletion where applicable. Email sales@azzar.co.zw with “Privacy request” in the subject. We may need to verify your identity before acting. You may also raise a concern with the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe in its role as the Data Protection Authority.
Children
This website and the Azzar Club are intended for adults seeking fencing or steel products and services. Please do not submit information about a person under 18 without the involvement and consent of their parent or legal guardian.
Security and incidents
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including restricted access and server-side handling of service credentials. No method is completely secure. If a personal-data incident occurs, we will investigate, record and make notifications required by applicable law.
Updates
We will update this notice when our services, providers or legal obligations change. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
